English Summary The idea of an institution that would present the richness of Icelandic culture in Poland was born in June of 2005. Four months later, the Icelandic Student Club was oficially formed and registered at The Warsaw University. Mister Roman Chymkowski from The Institute of Polish Culture agreed to be our supervisor. We hold our meetings in a café at the Faculty of Polish Language. Most of us study at this Faculty, but there are also lawyers, anthropologists and slavists amongst us. The main purpose of our Club is the popularisation of Icelandic culture in Poland. We’ve already organised parties with Icelandic (and Scandinavian) music, an evening with Icelandic literature and meetings with travellers. In our nearby plans there are also seminars about Icelandic history and tradition and a film festival.
